Steve Winter is an award-winning National Geographic photographer, conservation biologist, and Explorer. Having launched his career with the Black Star Photo Agency, he has spent decades specializing in wildlife photography, particularly big cats. His accolades include BBC Wildlife Photographer of the Year, BBC Wildlife Photojournalist of the Year, Picture of the Year International’s Global Vision Award, and multiple first-prize World Press Photo honors. A global lecturer and media guest (CBS, 60 Minutes, NPR, CNN), Winter uses his imagery to inspire public connection and care for planet Earth’s extraordinary wildlife and cultures.

Sharon Guynup is an award-winning environmental journalist, author, and producer specializing in wildlife crime, ecosystem conservation, and climate issues. Her investigative reporting for National Geographic, The New York Times, and Smithsonian shut down Thailand’s infamous Tiger Temple and helped catalyze legislative protection for big cats. A former Wilson Center Global Fellow and NYU Changemaker, Guynup co-recieved the National Geographic Society’s Eliza Scidmore Award for Outstanding Storytelling. She lectures internationally and has authored or edited numerous environmental publications, including Tigers Forever and the State of the Wild series.
